Allah Almighty is the ultimate Creator, Who not only created this amazingly beautiful world and universe we are aware of, but also created many more our logic and science seems not to apprehend as yet. However, The Mightiest Allah revealed all this to humanity over fourteen centuries ago in the most sacred Scripture that Muslims adhere to. Just have a look at one of its verses:

“(God) is the One Who created for you all that is on the earth. Moreover He turned to the heaven and
fashioned seven heavens with harmony. He is Full of Knowledge of all things.”
–sura 23, verse 17:

This unique Scripture is referred as Quran and is the last of its kind descended upon humanity to guide them through their worldly lifespan before they are to be resurrected and judged for how they spent their life on earth. Allah (SWT) is the most benevolent of all; how could He create humans and not endow upon them His kindness and guidance.

Therefore, He chose Qur’an as the means of absolute guidance for humanity, as clear and eloquent as it can be. In fact, eloquence of Quran is one of its unique and intriguing features ever since its revelation on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It serves to convey the true message of Allah Almighty in the most eloquent manner; so much so, that Allah (SWT) challenges all humanity to produce one single verse of this kind, just as mentioned in the following verse:

And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Qur’an) to Our slave (Muhammad Peace be upon him), then produce a surah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides Allah, if you are truthful. [Qur'an 2:23]

Islam has always talked about tolerance and forgiveness. It teaches all the Muslims that strongest of all the servants are those who can control their anger and also have the capacity to forgive. It is said by the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H):

“Whoever suffers an injury and forgives (the person responsible), God will raise his status to a higher degree and remove one of his sins.”

The best way of forgiveness is to answer oppression of others with kindness. Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) inspired all of the Muslims by practicing the act of tolerance by himself. As it is said:

“God had ordered me to maintain ties with those who sever ties with me, and to give those who deprive me, and to forgive those who oppress me.”

Most of the people think that by taking the revenge who have harmed you in anyway will be like harming yourself. When you forgive someone, it brings a relief to yourself as it given a feeling of liberating release. As it is said:

“Whoever does not show mercy will not be shown mercy.”

Holy Quran is a book that deals with each and every aspect of life and it has a great significance to understand the world. There is a perfect guide for spending life in this book and it was revealed many centuries ago by Almighty Allah. Caliph Othman made five copies of Holy Quran. After the death of Othman, it was taken to Kufa in the modern Iraq. Several Hundred years later, the Central Asian conqueror found the Koran and took it to his capital named Samarkand.

It stayed there for almost four centuries, until the Russians conquered Samarkand in the year 1868. Russian Government then sent Othman Koran to St Petersburg, where it was kept in the library. Due to this reason, the world’s oldest Quran still remains in the quarter of old Tashkent.

The life of Muslims living in Western World, particularly in the United States of America has become quite challenging, especially after one of the worst tragic incidents of recent past, i.e. the 9/11. An unfortunate and cruel incident claimed the lives of more than 3000 innocent people.

Unfortunately, world media at large, tried to connect Muslims and Islam with this tragic accident, which had nothing to do with Muslims or Islam. That incident also served to invoke curiosity among people living in the United States of America and elsewhere in Europe to study Islam, so that they can learn more about such a hyped about religion.

This verse specifically contains the word “mankind”. Allah Almighty addresses Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to resort to Holy Quran to guide not only Muslims, but all mankind. Go on reciting the Quran and continue ascending the stages of Jannah; and recite it in the slow manner as you had been reciting it in the worldly life: your final abode will be where you reach at the time of the last aayah of your recitation”.

The challenges of learning definitely increase when you vow to learn something that is in a langue not mother tongue to you. The odds are even more when the language under consideration is as diversified and as complexly structured as the Arabic language.

Since it is a book of Allah, you need to resort to it with great care and concern, which shall be guided to you aptly by none other than a Quran teacher, an honorable person who shall not only teach you how to read and understand it, but should also intimate you with how to pay respect and regard to this holiest of all books.

Remember, quran teacher is not an ordinary person; he is among the best of persons, as mentioned in the following hadith:

“The best of you is he who has learnt the Qur’an and then taught it.” (Bukhari)
