Improved Website Link Building Tactics For Better SEO

Virtual world really seems to be on wheels; wheels much faster than even the real world, always heralding for fresher and innovative changes. This holds particularly true for internet marketing domain where changes simply seem to bombard everyone aboard. That is why today’s achievements seem totally irrelevant just a day after, whether one likes it or not!

This is exactly what has happened in case of website link building. In yesteryears, people seem to rely very much on link building; perhaps, a little too much than they should have been. This turned link building more into link spamming, forcing Google to come up stricter in link building tactics, just to make sure that the rogue elements do not end up having all the benefits to themselves.

Leniency from Google made many people believe they could simply keep on exploiting link building to their illicit gains. It was as simple as approaching a site with PR 7, 8, or above, asking them to grant you links in return of some cash (or some other mutually beneficial agreement), and there you go. Most ironic was the fact that majority of links acquired this way had nothing of common interests with the sites who got them.

This greatly encouraged many people turn to shortcuts like link farming rather than growing the stature of their site with genuine search engine optimization tactics, all the while letting down hard working and passionate people from embracing genuine SEO.

With Google getting stricter and quality conscious in link building requisites, there emerges much room for genuine users who believe in slow and steady growth rather than shortcuts leading to a ditch sooner or later. Make sure you are among the ones who not only believe in quality, but are also willing to work hard to maintain that high quality.

Google’s +1 Button and Its Impact on Search Results

In March this year, Google introduced its +1 button of the network Google+ in competition of the ‘like’ button of Facebook. This +1 button now appears in any search of Google, any video you watch, any content you share, or any article you read.

Whenever you are logged into your Google account, and search for something, firstly you will see a +1 button with every search result, what adds more to it is that, if any of your Google+ members has shared or recommended the any of the content in the search results, you will get to see their name as well.

  • The +1 button has modified the Google search results a great deal, now a user logged in from Google account can see three types of results, and a change in the display of results:
  • First type of result shows you the content created by your Google+ member, with relevance to your search.
  • The second type of results is influenced when someone of your Google+ network has shared some content pertaining to your search query.
  • The third type of result that can appear is in the form of recommendations made by any of your Google+ members.
  • The user logged in with Google account will see different results compared to user without Google account. As, the search results of a signed in user will be affected by the recommendations from their social network, whereas others will see general results. That is why companies need to work on social media optimization, so that they can target the user more effectively.
  • The +1 integration also changes the layout of search results, now the user will be able to see names of members of their social networks, who have either recommended, shared, or created a link.

In short, this +1 integration with search engine results has totally changed the way search results appear, alongside influencing the search results on a broader level.

How Does Google Assess the Authenticity of an Author Who Makes Changes to Google Maps?

Have you ever wondered that how does Google find out the authority of an author who makes changes or does any contribution to the content of Google like Google Maps?

How Google finds out about the authenticity of the changes you make to an already available content on the web or when you add some new content to public database?

Google explained the solution to these questions in the form of Crowdsensus reputation system for those who do editing in Google Maps. However, Google’s Crowdsensus does not give any insight to the ways in which Google identifies the credibility of the author, but it does give info about the results of applying reputation scores, which does give results with less error, compared to information that does not apply Crowdsensus repo system.

To elaborate Crowdsensus repo system, Google has introduced the concept of Agent Rank. Every affordable SEO services provider needs to give importance to the factor of agent rank, because it is a result of the SEO performed by the agent.

The agent rank score is given on the basis of references that an agent gives when it makes changes to information of either Google Maps or of any other public directory. In addition to the references given by the agent, the agent rank score also depends upon the kind of text or documents referred.

Therefore the endorsement done by an agent with high reputation score adds to the score of Agent Rank. If an agent wants to add authenticity to the changes he makes to the content of Google, then the agent must have a high reputation score, and that can only be achieved by giving authentic references, in addition to being endorsed by a highly reputed author.

  • As only one element or factor is tested at a time, so this testing provides authentic proof of the contribution of a factor.
  • As this testing has all the other processes running normally, alongside the factors being tested, therefore the test going on is almost invisible to a user.
  • It is a great strategy to adopt during the test run of your campaign, in the test run you will get to know which contributes what; hence, you will apply the successful factors for the long run.

A Few of the Factors Affecting B2B Internet Marketing

There are two broad categories of internet marketing from a business point of view, one is Business to Consumer (B2C), and the other is Business to Business (B2B).

B2B marketing is a bit different from B2C internet marketing; it involves small market for products with a long sales cycle. There are a few tips, which can help you in doing an effective B2B online marketing, and making the most out of it. Few of the tips are as follows:

Being found is just a Start:

If you avail the services of an SEO services provider, they will know that B2C marketing is different from B2B marketing. As in B2C marketing, the sale could be generated by making the consumer visit the website for once only. While on the other hand, the business prospect in B2B marketing, after finding your website, evaluates your offer, then considers it, and then takes decision on purchase. Therefore, for a B2B website, being found is just the first step, it needs to have an optimum content to change a prospect into sale.

Content:

The content of a B2B website focuses on building a relationship between the prospect and the company, so the business has to prove itself trustworthy in front of the prospect. It can be done by sharing videos, demos, newsletters, and case studies, etc. The more you share your information the more it facilitates the prospect in considering your business.

Link Building:

Link building in a B2B website is difficult compared to B2C, because of the small size of the B2B market. For this purpose, the business needs to think out of the box, it can get linked with its supplier or purchasers, or can increase the links by blogging on more general topics and issues surrounding a company, rather than being specific to industry.

Conclusion:

B2B online marketing is quite difficult, you need to attract a prospect, then convince him on buying your product or service by presenting an optimized content, and due to specific market, the link building process also needs to be thought thoroughly.

Local Business Ads In Google AdWords

Local businesses ever need separate unit for their local ads in Google AdWords program. Now Google has introduced the new feature of local ads in the form of extension which dynamically attached your business address with advertisement. You can also get benefit from this feature by adding extension to your existing text ads.

Business entrepreneurs can add this extension by linking Adwords campaign with LBC Local Business Center and other people can manually enter their business address in text ads.

Issues Faced by International SEO Companies and their Remedy

The world has become a global village, so from business point of view, the business is no more constrained in the traditional lines of country borders, instead it has outreached borders,  and even continents.

In business, especially considering online marketing, one can see a lot of barriers, which serve as pitfalls, either for a business who wants to go global, or for an SEO firm, which provides services for international clients.

Below are a few of the issues faced by online marketers, pertaining to a foreign business.

Translating Keywords:

Translating the keywords is one of the major issues which international SEOs face. The thing you need to understand is that, keywords are non-translatable. As keywords are not ordinary words, they just help in search feature, other than that they don’t have any linguistic importance.

Therefore a business must not go on translating foreign words into English, and if the need be you can translate the words into the targeted language, which will help the user of target country to search in his/her own language.

Local Links:

For a business, which goes global, getting links from local websites can be difficult. The simple solution to this problem is, either you can avail the services of a link building services provider, or you can get a local domain.

Content Management:

Many companies that do an international launch of their website spend a substantial amount of money, to have their content written in English, and then pass it on to the local country, the translation of which makes the content look ambiguous for the local reader.

What SEO companies should do instead is, to create the content in English by keeping in mind the culture and language of the targeted country. Such content will make the translation of it easier, and more relevant to the targeted country.

Conclusion:

The above mentioned are a few of the issues which international SEO services providers face, if these issues are tackled by keeping in mind the target country, then the impact of these issues can be minimized substantially.
