Views Of Quran On The Submission Of Islam

Kufr and Kafir are the derivative forms of certain words and they tell about the deliberate rejection, which means mistaking the idea of faith.  The grace of Almighty Allah blesses an individual with guidance, when he has faith in himself. There are the consequences of rejection in the faith of Allah, which can lead to the impure state and the Eman of a person becomes dead. There are many shades of meaning of the root kafara, which are 1) Denying the goodness of Allah. 2) Rejecting the faith and denying the Holy Quran and his revelation 3) Ascribing some limitations or attributing to Allah, which is derogatory in nature.

Quran, Holy Quran, Qur’an, learn Quran,

The word ‘kafara’ means ‘infidel’ in modern days and it does not mean the rejection of faith. Aramic ‘kfr’ means ‘price of life’, ransom, while Akkadin “kaparu” means to wipe off redemption. It was a natural obligation on individuals for buying the protection for their lives. Allah imposes ransom on each of the Israelites at the time of Moses. ‘Kfr’ means ransom for offering sin as mentioned and stated in Biblia Hebraica. ‘kfr’ means cover over, to pacify and propitiate as mentioned in Book of Genesis.

It is very necessary to remember that some of the early copies of Holy Quran did not have signs which are necessary for the vocalization. When these vocal signs appeared at a later stage, the Aramaic ‘kfr’changed to the ‘kafaru’. Similarly, the word of Quran ‘andhartuhum’ means ‘you warn them’, the word Syriac means ‘giving notice and making a vow’, while Aramaic ‘ndr’ means to ‘vow’.

Holy Quran is the book of Allah, containing information that Allah Almighty wants humans to heed to, comprising of many commandments, such as:

Al-Ankaboot [29:45]    recite what is sent of the Book by inspiration to thee, and establish Regular Prayer: for Prayer restrains from shameful and unjust deeds; and remembrance of Allah is the greatest (thing in life) without doubt. And Allah knows the (deeds) that ye do

This verse focuses on two things, establishing regular prayer and Quran recitation. One of the interpretations of this verse could be the combined effect of remembrance of Allah Almighty, which establishing prayer and reciting Quran establish alike.

Islam And The Importance Of Quran

The importance of Quran is manifold in Islam. Quran is the divine revelation of Allah and it contains the message of Allah. Allah has provided the mankind with important revelations in the Quran which can lead Muslims to the path of truth and glory if they can comprehend the true meaning of the teachings of Allah. Allah says in the Holy Quran,

“Will they not ponder over the Qur’an?” (Qur’an, 47:24)

According to a Hadith,

“The people of the Qur’an are the people of Allah and His chosen friends.”

Muslims are encouraged to read and recite the Quran and follow its teachings because Allah communicates with His servants through the Holy Quran. Allah has also provided guidance regarding all aspects of life through the Quran. Therefore, if Muslims read and recite the Quran regularly, they may find answers to all their questions. Allah also rewards those who recite the Quran and lead their life in line with the teachings of the Quran.

During the holy month of Ramadan, Quran recitation and reading takes on more importance as more and more Muslims read Quran to gain the blessings and rewards of Allah. Additionally, during this month, if you take out time to understand its teachings, you might be able to see the truth in the verses of the Quran.

Quran is the ultimate source of guidance for humanity. It is a divine revelation and the final books that will ever be revealed upon the mankind. Allah protects the Quran Himself and it is for this reason that not a single word of the Quran has been altered.

Steps To Get Closer To Allah

All Muslims should desire to be closer to Allah. When you are closer to Allah, it is easy to get your wishes accepted if you are closer to Allah because Allah likes those who pray to Him and want to be close to him. Therefore, if you want to be close to Allah, you should follow the things mentioned below.

  1. Zikr: The best way to be closer to Allah is to engage into zikr with him. Allah says in the Quran, O ye who believe, remember Allah much. And glorify Him morning and evening” (33:42-43). Therefore, the Prophet (PBUH) used to engage in zikr all the time. The Prophet also told his companions that Remembrance of allah is much better than meeting the enemies in the battlefield and spending wealth on the message of Allah.
  2. Dua and Supplication: Another way to stay close to Allah is to raise your hands in dua and supplication as often as possible. it is only Allah who can answer your prayers and fulfill all your wishes. Allah says in the Quran, “Is not He (best) who listens to the (soul) distressed when it calls on Him, and who relieves its suffering.” (Quran 27:62) Duas are not wasted and if Allah does not answer any prayer, he rewards his servants more for the prayers unanswered.

Therefore, if you want to be closer to Allah, you should perform the tasks mentioned above. You should also read and recite Quran as often as possible. Quran teaching and learning is also a way to be closer to Allah.
